La Petite Robe. S|S 2016
The Spring/Summer 2016 collection of Chiara Boni La Petite Robe is a tribute to the fairy gardens of her childhood. Personal memories, tinged with nostalgia are translated into a modern and feminine narrative. Classic, timeless elegance throughout the collection. Black and white predominate with geometric and linear patterns interplaying with volumes and recurrent stripe pentagrams, sewn or printed in a stripe story. Peplums in black and white presents soft asymetries alongside tunics. A recall to the classic with capes in delicate lace and embroidered tulle. A note of romance on the shoulders: Chiara Boni La Petite Robe’s iconic stretch jersey forms delicate bows and curls on a puffed sleeve. Textured sheath dresses appear with a new mesh overlay that invites caress. The bright shades of azalea, algae, lime, orange and lobster dive into a sea of blue and turquoise, giving a wide color palette. The colors come together in a burst of energy in ‘Kaleidoscope’, ‘Summer Dream’ and ‘Batik’ prints. An ‘Oriental Blossom’ print, fine vitreous and antique gold applications complements the tropical blue. A touch of sweet femininity guides the collection in this fairy garden. The Spring Summer 2016 Couture Collection is inspired by nature with a color palette of intense shades, from raspberry to peach. A rose garden made with rose petals embroidered on tulle, peplums, buds of fabric that open with the movement of the arm, from deep heart shaped necklines open into a mermaid silhoutte.
